I am a native New Yorker living in the Atlanta Metro area. I am one of the unfortunate people who have been laid off this year. I have no family in Atlanta, and I have been driving to New York to see my father, who is dying of stomach cancer. The lay-off plus my efforts to try and be there for my father have taken a serious toll on my finances.

Any help with my rent would be greatly appreciated. I have recently obtained a new job. I hope to contribute to Modest Needs when I get back on my feet because this is the first time I have ever been in this position. Thank you in advance.
