The figure above includes the cost of fulfillment.
Dear Sir/Ma'am, I received a recommendation for your organization, in a response to a Craigslist ad that I placed, via email, from one of your fellow donors, R.R., and wanted to first say thanks for referring me to this unique and much-appreciated agency. I am a 38 year old father of an 11 year old boy. I am former owner of a now-defunct landscape and irrigation business. I have been temporarily disabled due to a broken ankle, but fortunately I have recovered to the point where I am able and ready to work. However, I haven't been able to land a job in my former field of employment. Though the job search has been long and difficult, due to an economy that has forced many businesses like mine to shut their operations down, I am happy to report that I did receive an offer of employment and that I did start working this past Monday, February 22. Me, my son, and my roommate have been scraping by with the meager earnings of my roommate's table-waiting job and from the generosity of my very gracious, but 'resource-poor' parents. If modestneeds.org were to fund my application for assistance with rent, I would be able to get a head start on this month's grocery budget, transportation to and from work, and pay our outlandish electric bill ($195.00 for a 600 sqft. apartment). Upon acceptance of my application, your help will also provide the momentum necessary to start saving for the living expenses of the following months to come. This should be easy, with my new job. If am not able to make rent for March, then we will be evicted and be forced to seek shelter elsewhere. I pray that this situation does not reach that point. As it stands, $688.95 is due by March 3. If paid on the March 4, the amount is $738.95, by March 5 the amount is $748.95, and then add $10 for every day past that. If not paid by the March 12, then eviction proceedings will begin. Please, I beg your mercy when considering this request, as I MUST have a stable place for me, my son, and my roommate to reside, that is conducive to my son's performance at school (he is an 'A' student, despite having a learning disability), and a place to wash clothes, cook our meals, etc. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Applicant
