My husband was diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma about a month ago. Although we have medical insurance, we are required to pay a co-pay for chemo and radiation upon service. He will undergo radiation five times per week and chemo two times per week for eight weeks. Then, in addition, he will receive three more months of two types of chemo.

In co-pays alone the costs will be staggering. This does not include the co-pays for Cat scans, pet scans, mri's, blood work, tpn, and the cost of prescription drugs that our insurance does not cover.

We have covered the costs ourselves for everything else, we just don't have any other means to handle the remaining balance we still need. I have applied for every grant possible and either they are out of money or do not give grants for head and neck types of cancer. You are our last and only option at this point. When this is over we will definitely pay this forward to someone else in this situation. Thank you.

Thank you is simply not enough for what you have done for our family. Although we have insurance the cost of copays and out of pocket expenses for medications, office visits, etc was just overwhelming for us. We simply just did not know how we were going to do it all...Modest needs was our last resort for help, we had applied to all the co-pay assistance programs out there and they just did not have the funds available to help.
