I am unable to work and my wife had to retire early with a social security check for month. I have applied for disability, but have been denied twice and am currently in the appeals process.

I need help with my Duke Energy utility bill. From December to January, our bill doubled. When you are forced to live on a fixed income, spikes like these are hard to weather.

If this grant is approved it would keep our electricity on and our home warm. My wife and I would be very grateful for your help. Thank you for your consideration.
