Application Details

Son With Spinal Injury - Rent | Cost to fully fund this application: 967.00 Modest Needs Points

The figure above includes the cost of fulfillment.

I am an unemployed single female trying to manage my own household and that of my adult son who suffered a spinal trauma accident in February of 2009 leaving him disabled. I was employed at the time and had taken FMLA (Family Medical Leave), but in July of 2009 when my son was finally discharged from 3 months of hospital and nursing home care, I was let go due to 'lack of work'.

I am trying to manage to keep a roof over my son's head in Ohio and pay bills over what his disability income does not cover and maintain my own mortgage while looking for work in a Michigan economy.

I am living month-to-month and the amount requested is to cover a mortgage payment with the hopes of buying another month and prayerfully getting employment so that I can take care of myself and my son until he can return to a degree of self support.

Testimonial

This person has left the following thank you note:

Please accept this note as my heart felt appreciation for all who donated to assist me and my son in this critical situation that has come upon us. I sincerely appreciate your kindness and assistance in helping me keep myself and my son housed as we go through these troubling times that all are experiencing. Your thoughtfulness and generousity will not go un-noticed nor un-appreciated. God's word tells us 'He that is showing favor to the lowley one is lending to the LORD, and his treatment He will repay to him.' Once again, Thanks
