Words just cannot express how deeply humbled I am to have received this help!!! TO ALL OF THE DONORS, as well as this WONDERFUL ORGANIZATION -- THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!! It's such a good feeling, knowing that there are so many good people out there that truly care about the welfare of others. It's been such a struggle since I became disabled 10yrs. ago -- & it's easy to feel pretty sorry for yourself sometimes. You don't want to ask for help, but, if you don't, the stress it puts on you -- ends up making health conditions even worse (which, I can thoroughly attest to)!! So, again, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH for helping me with my medical co-pay!! You have no idea how much I appreciate your willingness to help & how it will get me through this period in time!!! Please know that you are impacting so many people's lives -- and I know what a good feeling that is too!!!!!

It has not been easy for me to ask for help from anyone. I'm humbled that such an organization exists out there to help those who are helping themselves. I've never had to ask for help so I never knew how it felt to be in need. But my own need has brought me to the awareness that as I go about my day, there are those around me who need me. They need me to help, a kind word to be said, and to reach out whenever possible. I'll never forget what you've done for me and I won't from this point on refuse to help someone else. Thinking that many are looking for a handout instead of being responsible for themselves. I realize that we're all we have here on earth-each other and we really need each other's love, respect, care and help. Thank you for all that you have done. I began donating by paycheck to Trident United Way and now I have this organization to donate to. One that I know I can trust.

I wanted to thank you for your donation to my request. Due to the help I received I was able to avoid being evicted from my home. With your help as well as the patience of my landlord, things are looking up. I have since been able to secure employment and am going back to school. I will never forget the help I received from modest needs. Thanks again so much for everything!!!

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeI just found out my request for help was fully funded today! Thank you to all of you who have helped me!! A HUGE Thank you! My parents always taught me to have a buffer of savings in the bank for emergencies. I usually do but this time, I didn't. I had to live off that buffer when I was on unemployment. Then to have 3 car repairs at once but no money to pay them was too much. I had to use the rest of my buffer and then some, to cover those repairs. Saying THANK YOU just doesn't seem like enough! The burden all of you lifted for me will never be forgotten and I promise I will 'pay it forward' when I am able to. You're all angels:) Deepest Thanks!-Maureen

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeDear Donors, I would like to express my appreciation for your generosity. Without you my daughter and I would not be able to pay our rent for the month. When I lost my job of 20 years, I had no idea that I would ever be in this position. Our financial situation is more difficult because my daughter is disabled. It is so good to know that there are wonderful people like you in the world to help people like me and my daughter. In the words of Jean-Baptiste Mossieu, 'Gratitude is a memory of the heart.' You and the kindness you have shown me and my daughter will forever be in our hearts. Again, please accept our happy and very grateful thank you. Deborah W. El

God Bless & thank all of you who donated. I sincerely appreciate your kindness. I have worked all my life and have become disabled just in the past few months. Like so many others my ss doesn't stretch far enough throughout the month to cover all my needs. Getting dentures will help me be able to eat properly and help my over all health. Once again, I THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. dwcomp, Colorado City, Tx

It's difficult for me to know where to begin when articulating my deep appreciation for the donors to Modest Needs who have made it possible for me to get my car fixed and drive again. This program is amazing- it's such an empowering, good idea that 'regular' people are involved in helping other 'regular' people. Many of my friends have observed that people who have been through some hard times themselves are often more likely to help others than those who have had a pretty easy ride. I can only speculate that the generosity of many of the good people of Modest Needs comes from a place of familiarity with hardship, and appreciation for someone who helped them. Of course, I don't know this for sure, but I like the idea and the energy of this whole pay-it-forward momentum. So thanks again from the bottom of my heart. You can be sure that as soon as I am able, I will do my best to particpate in this valuable program as a donor.

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeDear Donors, I want to take this time to personally thank you for the assistance with my unexpected medical bill What a relief to be able to call the collection department and tell them a check is forthcoming. It is so inspiring to get this kind of help from strangers. It brings me back to the mind set that maybe, step by step, we can make this world a better place. Sincerely, Barbara Long

Thank you is simply not enough for what you have done for our family. Although we have insurance the cost of copays and out of pocket expenses for medications, office visits, etc was just overwhelming for us. We simply just did not know how we were going to do it all...Modest needs was our last resort for help, we had applied to all the co-pay assistance programs out there and they just did not have the funds available to help. You have lifted a very heavy burden off our shoulders. Once we are on our feet we will definately pay this foward to help someone else in our situation. God Bless you all for what you do, and thank you from the bottom of my families heart!

I want to thank each and everyone that took thier precious time out to help me with this unfortunately hardship that I'm experiencing. If it wasn't for such wonderful people and their families like yourselves I don't know what I would have done to make this payment. It makes me feel really great to know I can stop worrying because 'GOD' sent me some angels to take care of my situation. I'm very very greatful and will never forget in my time of need how I recieve help from good godly people that didn't have to but because they cared, took their hard earning money and gave me hope. This has surely open my eyes to being more concern and caring about others in their time of need. Thank You and your families for considering me and mines you've be a blessing in our life that have taught us a lesson in what it means to care about others. Thank You, so so much May God Keep Blessing You and your families.

I want to say first of all I am very grateful that this program exist. We already feel we have benefited from the program and all of it's donors. Because of your help and support I am able to make payment to my PSEG bill, every thing feel right into place at the right time, I was able to have my shut off notice pushed till the 29th of July. I was very worried and concerned that I would not be able to get the money up in time but because of modest needs and the donors coming through, I now know everything will be alright. I truly appreciate all that the donors have done for us. You may not personally know me and I may not personally know you but me and my family hold a dear place in our hearts for you all. We feel you are truly angles sent from heaven watching over and taking care of us. I just pray that one day I can return the favor as well. Again thanks for all your help and support we are truly blessed. Thank You, Single mother in need.

God Bless you all and thank you so much for helping me. I know there are millions in the same boat as me with more bills than monthly income. I struggle everyday wondering how I am going to make it each month. My lifestyle is very humbling but SSI still is not enough to survive on each month. I wish the government could give us disabled people a bailout to make our lives a little less stressful. I worry everyday that my stressing over finances is shortening my life , I know it affects my quality of life. Again Thank you all so much.
