Here, on the Modest Needs 'Testimonials' page, we ask all Modest Needs grant recipients to post a short note describing the impact your giving has had on their lives, on the lives of their families, or, in the case of non-profits, on the lives of the people they serve.

We maintain this page so that visitors to Modest Needs can see for themselves what Modest Needs' active members already know:

I was amazed to hear that there was actualy a place that people who really needed help and were on there last leg could get assistance from such generous people. What amazed me even more is that it really does happen. I have no words to express how much I am thankful and appreciate the help that has been given to me to keep my life going and keep my home. I had to make a choice to keep my house (I had just worked out a modification on and am still in the trial period)and make the payment or fix my car. I will now be able to get back and forth to work and start to get back on my feet like so many others are trying to do. I want to thank each and everyone who donated to help me out in my time of need. I can promise to everyone of you that I will be using this site to help others and will be donating as you all did for me. Again .....with my deepest thanks to you all! You have made my journey to get back on my feet so much easier and I get to keep my home!!!!!

Thank you so much for your generous donations to my family in our time of need! You are our angels in our crisis and your generosity has made a HUGE impact in my family's life and well-being. You have no idea how much we appreciate your help which has averted my family from being homeless and given us the control to regain our self-sufficiency while working on rebuilding our American Dream. This is the type of good in people that gives us hope and faith in which we still believe still exists in this wonderful country. As the Ethic of Reciprocity (aka the Golden Rule) puts it, 'treat others the way you want be treated' and 'no act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted'. I want to take this time and say thank you for all of your help. Because of your donations I am able to stay in my home and continue to raise my kids in a stress free environment. I cannot tell you in words how much I appreciate you! I hope god blesses you in every way possible! I find it very compelling to see people from all over the country who want to help others in need. I hope someday I may be in a financial status that permits me to help others in their time of need. I wish to thank everyone who helped me obtain tires for my car. I live in the country and would have no transportation to doctor appointments or grocery stores as my car would not have passed inspection. I'll be praying for everyone who helped me that they will also be blessed that whatever their needs are in their lives that GOD will supply them also. Thank you so much as you have kept me from loosing my independance and you have no idea how it feels to keep that.

I would really like to thank everyone who funded my request. This has literally saved my life. I dont know what I would have done if we were not able to get our mortgage caught up and foreclosure proceedings began. I would like to thank everyone internationally and regionally who contributed to my plea for help. I always had faith that I would get funded but wasn't sure how long it would take. I am grateful for the help I received from the staff at Modest Needs for being my voice and displaying my needs. My journey has started by your funding. As a Registered Nurse I will never forget the people who helped me fund my RN license exam and I will become a Modest Needs donor one day. My life have been very ruff in the past one day I hope to write a book and I will surely mention this help I received from people who don't know me. God is good and I thank you all from my myself and my children.
