Thank you all so much! You don't know what this means to me. It will be one less bill for me to worry about. My husband recently left me and my son. I have to do everything on my own now. So many things have been going wrong for me lately. My health, my husband, and I lost my mother. This is such a blessing and lets me know that things are going to get better. Thanks again!

I would like to take this time to 'Thank' each and everyone who made a contribution so that Modest Needs could help me out. The past 3 yrs. have really been tuff for me...Nov. 2007 I was taken out of work due to an ulcer on my left foot, Nov. 2008 I lost my job (due to the ulcer), my husband walked out Sept. 2008 and July 2009 I lost my left foot. I am able at this time to draw disability but that only goes so far. Ever heard the saying 'robbing Peter to pay Paul'?, well that's what I've been doing for the past 2 yrs. It's been hard but I've continued to keep my faith (in God)...for he has laid upon your heart--the kindness the help me out. I truly am Thankful from the bottom of my heart. May God Bless each of you and your families. Again 'THANK-YOU' so much for your kindness.

Words cannot express how I feel to know that there are people willing to help someone they don't know to pay a medical bill. I was truly starting to feel that everyone was out for themselves. Signing up at Modest Needs asking for help was very hard for me ,it seems that is all I have been doing now since I am unemployed. Trying to find ways to get my medicines and help with my doctor bills has been very hard for me. I am not the type of person who would every ask for help, but it seems I had no choice. To each and everyone of you who helped me I am so so thankful. I hope that one day I will be back on my feet and financially able to do the same.It really is a great feeling to know that there are people in this world that are willing to help others when they are down. This experience has changed the way I see people. With great, great appreciation I truly am so thankful. God Bless all of you Maureen

You've made a difference, I'm most grateful, thank you. This has increased my faith that there's concerned members of the society, who gave, while themselves have probably been forced to make cut backs during these tough economic times. As for myself, I'm also mindful that there are those whose situations are worse than mine. We can all give something. Bless us ALL and thanks again. Don

This is a letter I didn't know if I'd ever get to write. My application came down to the last few days before expiration, so while I knew it was close, it would only be by the grace of Heaven that the donors would consider my application out of the many that Modest Needs receives. I'm in a state of amazement as I write this, since I also did my taxes yesterday, and the refund won't amount to even less than half of the amount I need for the total furnace bill. The miserable tax refund situation makes your donations that much more of a blessing. I don't need to mention how rough this winter has been, since the whole country knows that. Your donations are a true blessing to honest, hard-working people determined to make it out of a rut. I especially want all of you to know that your kindness won't be forgotten. Where I won't ever know who any of you are, I do want you to realize I aspire to be one of you someday. The employment picture around the Midwest is pretty bleak, and I know the manufacturing environment that my longtime job was in is gone forever. My only hope is make the best of what I can with the education I'm striving so hard for now. While a great paycheck in the future is only pure speculation now, I want you to know I will do what I can to someday be able to help bring positive change to a person's life, just as you did for me. Thank you donors, and Thank You, Modest Needs. Richard

I am struggling to find the words to express my deep gratitude for your generosity. When I read the e-mail informing me that you had met our need, tears filled my eyes. Tears are flowing down my face as I type this. It's such a helpless feeling for a parent to have a child with a medical need that they don't have the financial means to meet. I am so sincerely grateful to each and every one of you for helping my family in this time of need. I praise God for you and pray that He will bless you abundantly. Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!!

Thank you so much for funding my application for help with my physical therapy bill. I've been so worried about how I was going to pay this bill, and when I heard about modest needs I was wasn't sure it was for real. I have been touched that people who I don't even know are willingly to help me with an unexpected bill. I have been so upset with the way my insurance company has handled this, and other instances in the last year, that I had become quite bitter. This has really helped restore my faith in the goodness of the majority of people. Thank you again for voting to help me. I hope that in the future some day I will be able to afford to do the same for someone else.

Thank you so much for your helping me get my medical supplies. Your help is, quite literally, a lifesaver. I consider it a blessing that folks like you are among us. I've be reading my Dante, and in the 'Paradiso' he tells us of the three theological virtues: 'Faith' being knowledge beyond wisdom, 'Hope' is the motive of fortitude, but above all is 'Charity', the love that transcends all. Everyone at one time or another is either in need of, or in a position to provide, charity. I thank you for your great generosity and giving of yourselves. I only hope that in time I will be able to pass along this service you've done for me.

I appreciate everything that everyone has done or given up to help my family. You have no idea how much it has impacted our lives. We don't have to worry about freezing or finding a way to get the oven hot to eat. I'm so glad that even in this time and day, people still know how to find a way to surprise people with extreme kindness and love. Our lives are in debt to everyone who helped. You guys arew saviors, our angels! God Bless You!! Kristina

I would like to start by thanking every body who donated to help me and my family. This is a true blessing for us. My faith has really been tested in the past year, finding out my father has cancer, and the toll it has taking on my family. Then my finacial situation adding to it, has put me under a great deal of stress. Checking my e-mails every day thinking time is running out , it's getting close to the dead line. Thinking people just don't have it to help these days it's hard times for alot of people. But I was proven wrong, people do care. When I read the e-mail tonite I began to cry, my finace asked me what was wrong when I told him they helped us . His only words were thank you LORD for sending these angels to us in our time of need. Your help means so much to me and my family. It gives us hope. I have never had to ask for help before, it was so hard for me, I felt ashamed. But you have showed me that people won't judge me and it's ok to ask for help, just like it's ok to help.I would like to finish by saying god will bless you for all you have done. I plan on becomimg a donor my self, because I want to make someone feel the warmth, joy and hope you have made me feel. Thank you again and god bless everyone of you. Penny

I am sending a heartfelt thank you to each of you for extending help to us during our time of hardship. This has helped tremendously during my time of layoff from my job of eight years. Without help from such caring people, we could possibly be without our home. Thank you so much. May God bless you all. Forever Grateful

As I begin to type this I am trying to find the right words that can express the gratitude I am feeling at this very moment. I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. Your contribution lifts a huge weight off of my shoulders. The kindness that I have been shown by complete strangers is nothing short of amazing. Once things return back to normal I plan on helping as many people as I can through this organization. Thank you again :)

Thank you for you kindness during my long and difficult illness. My family and friends are also grateful that I was able to stay at home with help and get better. My next work is to get out of bed and transfer to my wheelchair. Thank you for adding to my hope and faith.
